Women's coats, although chosen less often than jackets today, have their charm and often surpass jackets in terms of functionality. However, it is much more difficult to choose the perfect coat, which is where the negative opinions about them come from. Fortunately, for several years now, thanks to the efforts of Polish manufacturers of women's coats, this trend has been reversed.

Women's coats - Fashion is important, but…

Every year, a large wholesale women's coats introduces at least several dozen different models of coats to the market. Importers of women's coats compete in bringing more and more strange patterns and styles to Poland. Coat manufacturers revive cuts that were fashionable not just a few, but even several dozen years ago. Fashion changes very quickly, but it is not always the best choice to buy a coat clearly inspired by Parisian fashion shows from a given year. Women's coats are primarily chosen to suit the figure, and this is often a serious challenge, because the choice of cuts is huge - it is not always clear how to find your way around. Fortunately, the matter is not very complicated.

Practically every women's coat manufacturer introduces shorter and longer models to their offer. The former look great on slightly shorter women. In their case, a long coat optically shortens the figure. And a knee-length one with a fitted waist nicely emphasizes it. However, if the cut is made under the bust, the proportions will be disturbed again. Long women's coats can be worn by taller women. However, depending on the figure, it is worth choosing either slightly tighter or more flared ones.

Another criterion is the number of rows. A single-breasted coat looks better on women with a larger bust. On the other hand, women with smaller busts should rather choose double-breasted coats and slightly smaller slits on the neckline. For petite women, the ideal solution will be coats in a style that gained popularity in the 1960s. They are shorter, built-up, with a rather narrow and rounded collar, which looks great on a petite figure.

Women's coats - Material matters

The most important thing in a women's coat is the material. Every good manufacturer of women's coats knows that coats, not jackets, are an element of the most formal styling. So there is no question of poor materials. Everything must be tip-top. Well-made wool coats, whether from a manufacturer or an importer of women's coats, have been the foundation of many stores' winter clothing offers for years. And that's very good, but it should be remembered that not all wool is the same. The material that really works well in winter is tweed, which is also a type of wool, but thicker and waterproof.

Women's coats made of synthetic fabrics are in a completely different league. They can also be worn great, but you should remember that they usually won't breathe as well as wool coats. A lot of them will soak up water, but it will be much easier to find a synthetic coat in a vivid color in a women's coat wholesaler. In the case of wool coats, it is rather rare to deviate from the classic pattern, and if so, it is not very far. Either a pattern is made, or the pockets are sewn in a different way. Coats sewn from synthetic fabrics are more frivolous and allow for the creation of less formal styles. However, this does not mean that their quality can be disregarded. They must still be sewn perfectly evenly. The lining should be sewn with a nice, hidden seam, and the rows of buttons should be regular. You can, however, freely use an additional tie at the waist or decorative patches in such a coat. Although this would be a slightly extravagant solution.

And what about lighter women's coats?

Women's coats are mainly associated with winter stylings, and rightly so. These thick, woolen ones are the best proof of their usefulness then. On the other hand, you can also wear a coat in spring and autumn, but it will be a bit "slimmed down". Some variants do not even have a lining, although most retain a rather classic cut. However, the decoration changes. Transitional coats are a bit more decorative and often defy classic aesthetic divisions. They are also more often sewn from synthetic fabrics. Is this a problem? No. If the manufacturer of women's coats uses the right material with the right grammage, the coat will be light, comfortable and suitably airy. An additional advantage of good synthetic materials is their very high durability.

In wholesale, such coats are definitely cheaper than woolen ones. Which certainly contributes to their popularity. On the other hand, coat importers often focus almost exclusively on coats made of synthetic fabrics. While Polish producers largely stick to the classics and sew women's wool coats. All of these solutions have their advantages and disadvantages. However, the greatest advantage of a coat will always be that you will feel comfortable and more elegant in it than in any jacket. The latter, even the best one, will always be a level lower in the elegance ranking than a coat.
